Badsah Mukherji is Senior Community Manager, Web Communities, at VMware, Inc. [NYSE: VMW], which is the global leader in virtualization solutions from the desktop to the data center. Customers of all sizes rely on VMware to reduce capital and operating expenses, ensure business continuity, strengthen security and go green. Prior to VMware, Badsah worked in product management positions at Oracle Corporation [Nasdaq: ORCL] and ebrary, and as a business consultant at Andersen Worldwide (before Accenture and Arthur Andersen went their separate ways, he worked in both firms). Badsah has a broad knowledge of business processes across the enterprise, and technical expertise in enterprise-class, web applications. Currently, his area of focus is online communities in a B2B environment. Badsah has a liberal arts degree from Harvard University, where he concentrated in the Biological Sciences and Government. He also conducted numerous biomedical research projects, and worked on the Harvard Pluralism Project (sponsored by Harvard's Department of Comparative Religion) which included field studies. Badsah has been a vocalist in both Western and Indian traditions all his life, and also plays the Indian hand drums, "tabla," on occasion. He loves the outdoors, biking, and spending time with his wife and two girls in Palo Alto, CA, where he lives and works today. His biggest passion, shared by his family? Travel.
