Nastassja Kinski (born 24 January 1961 in Berlin, Germany) is a German actress best known for her roles in such films as Tess, Cat People, Maria's Lovers, Unfaithfully Yours, Your Friends and Neighbors and Town & Country.

Biography

Nastassja Aglaia Nakszynski was born in 1961 to filmmaker Klaus Kinski (1926-1991) and Brigitte Ruth Tocki. She began modeling at age 13 and received her first acting role two years later, in Wim Wenders' Falsche Bewegung (released under the title The Wrong Move in English speaking parts of the world). Hooked on acting from that point on, she appeared in numerous other European films, including To the Devil a Daughter (1976), Boarding School (1978) and Tess (1979), before landing in a role in Francis Ford Coppola's One From the Heart in 1982, her first American film. Since then, she has appeared in over 50 films, both European and American, receiving numerous accolades for her roles in Exposed (1983), Revolution (1985), Torrents of Spring (1989), Bella Mafia (1997), Your Friends and Neighbors (1998), Red Letters (2000), A Storm in Summer (2000), Town & Country (2001) and Le Femme Musketeer (2004). Her most recent film role was in 2006's Inland Empire.

She married Egyptian filmmaker Ibrahim Moussa in 1984, bearing him two children: son Aljosha in 1984 and daughter Sonja 1986. Following their divorce in 1992, Kinski began a six-year relationship with Quincy Jones, for whom she bore a daughter, Kenya, in 1993.

Miss Kinski has lived in Los Angeles, California, since the early 1980's.
