This article discusses the 1941 feature film. For other uses, please see Dumbo (disambiguation).

Dumbo is a 1941 animated Disney film . It features an elephant born with overlarge ears which make him the subject of ridicule. It is a story with a moral. There have been several such tales where anthropomorphic animals are used in fables, but, unlike The Ugly Duckling, where there is a case of mistaken identity, Dumbo, like Rudolf, retains his disfigurement, which ultimately turns out to be useful, and, in Dumbo's case, provides great riches.

The soundtrack features the tearjerking song Baby Mine and the pun-filled When I see an Elephant Fly ("I seen a house fly, I seen a horse fly...but I been done seen 'bout everything, when I see an elephant fly")

Dumbo had a noteworthy cast, none of whom were properly credited.
