John Wisden, founder of the Almanack, en route to North America in 1859.
Front cover of the 1963 centenary edition.

Wisden Cricketers' Almanack (commonly known as Wisden) is an annual publication which primarily reviews the previous year's cricket season in Great Britain, although it provides a measure of global coverage too. It was first published in 1864 by John Wisden & Co. Ltd. Wisden was himself a famous cricketer. A new volume has been published every year since then and so the 2020 issue is the 157th edition.[1]
