Edward ("Ted") Sleigh Hewlett was born in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. He graduated from Penticton High School, and took teacher training in Victoria. After a number of years of teaching, and taking courses at the University of British Columbia, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree (with concentrations in history and English) from the University of British Columbia in 1964 and, after some additional years of teaching, and serving as an elementary-school vice-principal, obtained his Master of Arts (in history) from the same University in 1972. In 1977 Edward S. Hewlett transferred to a teaching position at the seocndary-school level, where he taught English to Grades Eleven and Twelve till his retirement from teaching in June of 1994 . He has since pursued a variety of interests, including writing, and travelling. | |||
