A skirt is a type of clothing that is worn on the waist and extends over the legs.
The design is usually fitted at the waist and material may be of varying lengths and styles. Pleats or darts may be sewn into the fabric to change the look or ease of movement.
Conventionally only women wear it. However, a similar dress kilt is worn by Scottish and Celtic men.
There is also a magazine Skirt.
