Shahnameh (Farsi:شاهنامه) or Book of Kings is a Persian epic. Shahnameh was written in almost pure Persian, helping to revive the Persian language ("Parsi," or the Arabicised "Farsi") after Arabic conquest of the Persian empire and the Arabic script and language were imposed on the Islamic world.
