The term Piazza Telematica - Telematic Public square (Town square) is primarily used in Italy to evoke the renaissance of the Public square of the past, located in the heart of a quartiere or of a village, through an urban regeneration able to conjure the ancient functions of the social community gathering face to face of the Piazza, with the new telematic functions as is the case of telework, telemedicine, electronic commerce or lifelong learning.
