In the second match of their inaugural tour of Great Britain, the Australians achieved a sensational nine wicket victory over a strong Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) team, which included W. G. Grace, inside five hours. The match aggregate of 105 runs is the lowest ever recorded in first-class cricket.
