Kochi prefecture

Kochi prefecture (高知県 Koochi-ken) is an area of Japan located on the island of Shikoku. Its population was 789,000 in 2006.[1]

Kochi prefecture shares its name with its own capital city, Kochi (高知市 Koochi-shi).
