Jimi Hendrix (November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970) was an American musician and songwriter, the leader of the band Jimi Hendrix Experience. He is considered to be an influential rock guitarist and the pioneer of many rock guitar techniques. His birth name was Johnny Allen Hendrix;[1] he changed it to James Marshall Hendrix.
