Sir Ian Kershaw' (1943-) is Professor of History at the University of Sheffield, and a noted biographer of Adolf Hitler. He retired from full-time academic work in 2008.
Ian Machter considers him not only a thorough historian, but the key individual in unifying the major schools of Hitler scholarship. [1]
