Dominant (genetics)/Definition

The dominant allele is expressed and the recessive allele is masked. For example, round seed shape (W) is dominant and wrinkled seed shape (w) is recessive. Round has the genotype of (WW) or (Ww), Wrinkled has the genotype: (ww).
