The Intel 8008 is an [[eight-bit microprocessor designed and manufactured by [[Intel.[1][2]
The 8008 is the lineal ancestor of Intel's later designs, the [[intel 8080|8080, [[intel 8088|8088, [[intel 8086|8086, [[intel 80186|186, [[intel 80286|286, [[intel 80386|386, [[intel 80486|486 and all of Intel's Pentium processors.[3] Note that the 8080 is [[assembly language compatible with the 8008, but not object compatible.
