Troezen [r]: In Greek mythology, it was a place in Ancient Greece where a princess named Aethra had sexual intercourse with both Aegeus and Poseidon during one night and became pregnant with the then-future hero Theseus. It is the setting of the tragedy Hippolytus written by Euripides which is about the son of Theseus and a story of romantic love and tragedy.
