I've left for now the statement that he's party leader as I'm not sure whether his resignation took immediate effect or awaits election of his successor. Peter Jackson (talk) 14:50, 11 May 2015 (UTC)

According to [1] he's still officially leader but Lady Brinton is in charge de facto. Peter Jackson (talk) 09:25, 23 May 2015 (UTC)

He said in Parliament yesterday that that would be his last speech as leader. From what's said in various places in Wikipedia, it looks as if he and his Parliamentary colleagues will shortly elect a new deputy leader to replace Sir Malcolm Bruce, who didn't stand for reelection to Parliament. The DL would then be acting leader till the nationwide membership elect a new leader, to be announced on 16 July. Peter Jackson (talk) 17:28, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

The BBC this morning called him the outgoing leader, which would seem to imply he hasn't yet outgone. Peter Jackson (talk) 09:04, 2 June 2015 (UTC)

From material now on WP it seems the now all-male parliamentary party have postponed the DL election till the party's constitution can be amended to allow a non-MP and so a woman to be DL. I imagine this is unlikely before the new leader is elected on 16 July, so wouldn't expect any change before then. Peter Jackson (talk) 17:00, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
