Template for labelling public domain media.
Usage
The template has three parameters: {{PD|reason|author|attribution}}
- Optional — the reason why this work is in the public domain. One of the following:
author
— the work has been released into the public domain by its author. The second parameter must be used to specify the name of the author.user
— same as the above, but the author is a Citizen. The second parameter must be the Citizen's username.old
— any copyright on the work has expired.ineligible
— the work is not eligible for copyright.usgov
— a work of the US government (a special case of the above).
- Required if the first parameter is
author
oruser
— the author's name. - Optional — Requests or restrictions regarding re-use. One of the following:
request
— if the source of the image requests attribution etc.requirement
— if somebody asserts restriction rights over the work.
