Eventology

Eventology is a term used (from about 2000 onwards) by Oleg Yu. Vorobyev — a mathematician at the Siberian Federal University — for his variant of probability theory. He claims the theory to be of "practical significance" both for "philosophical questions" and "economic, social and other questions in different applied fields" and to have "advanced to the foremost boundaries of natural sciences and human sciences". There is little evidence to support this claim, other than several preprints and papers by him and coworkers.
