One of the first commercial software designers, I led software development for several international companies and have multiple software packages to my name. My specialization was 'systems software', meaning operating systems, utilities, firmware, and telecommunications.

As a consultant, I advised and trained clients in computer power and the internet, and I was involved in advanced hardware development. One of my interns was Jean-François Groff, who with Tim Berners-Lee, developed the World Wide Web in CERN.

Further, I am an author of mysteries and science fiction. I have an avid interest in history which came to me naturally through my family's background. A sub-interest is historical ship photography.

Born and raised on farms, I have some knowledge of farming, ranching, and forestry, as well as a number of other interests.
