Discussion

Purpose
The purpose of this page is to decide which topics are appropriate for Group theory, which should be discussed in Group (mathematics) and which, though interesting, should only be discussed in external articles. Additionally, the idea is to try to categorize the amount of rigor to use when mentioning these topics.

This is my idea for a purpose. Feel free to edit this purpose, the table, and the goals. This brainstorming page has a goal of trying to flush out how to create a structured, organized, and planned structure for the pages on group theory. I think the WP pages are incredibly chaotic. I hope we can make our articles here read like a fine textbook than a stack of randomly thrown-together articles. - Jared Grubb 11:07, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
