Bio

I'm a graduate student at the [of Essex] writing a thesis in the sociology of language, based in the Sociology Department and co-supervised in Linguistics. I look at declining linguistic diversity from a dialectological viewpoint, then interrogate language policy that explicitly claims to 'protect linguistic diversity', examining whether this claim is viable given its central goal to standardise minority languages.
