In computer science, Computer Architecture is the design, organization, optimization and verification of a computer system, usually focusing on the CPU, memory and other peripheral devices.

Additionaly, a computer architecture (note the indefinate article) refers to a particlar implementation of a computer system. Examples of computer architectures include IBM Compatible or Apple Macintosh.
