Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun!

You can find some more information about our collaboration groups if you follow this link Citizendium_Pilot:Discipline_Workgroups

Hello Alex, we do require information about your interests and educational background: a bio. Just nothing, as a minor, that actually identifies you specifically. Please see this for more info. --Larry Sanger 18:59, 8 February 2007 (CST)

Time Machine has screenshots as well (its functioning is 1 on 1 linked to ZFS I have to lookup the url's

Alex, please you have to include the copyright information in the images that you have uploaded. Thanks. --Versuri 12:52, 12 February 2007 (CST)

WP content

Hello Axel,

you seem to start your articles (at least the programming language ones) by taking a few lines from wikipedia and then adding more lines by yourself. The problem with that approach is that we basically have to create the whole article here in CZ ourselves (unless someone else copies more content over from WP) yet we are bound by the Wikipedia license (GFDL) due to the few sentences copied. If you take content from wikipedia, why not copy the whole article and then edit it (probably shorten). That way we get a whole article in exchange for license lock-in instead of just a few lines. BTW, discussion on what license we want to use for our completely locally created content is ongoing. So if we choose GFDL ourselves, there is of course no problem. --Markus Baumeister 11:11, 8 March 2007 (CST)

Hello

Hi Alex,

Got a message about your interests in programming from another CZ user here (Markus Baumeister). He suggested that I work with you on a common format for articles. Let me know where you're putting your time and I'll be glad to help out.

Recently uploaded image(s)

Hi. Thanks for contributing to CZ! I hate to have to tell you this but one or more images you recently uploaded are lacking clear copyright data. Please carefully review the image(s) you uploaded while referencing Images Help—Copyrights. Please fix the problem rapidly, as the image(s) will otherwise have to be deleted. Specifically, you need to get permission from the copyright holder http://www.aresluna.org/attached and document and display it per this. Thanks! — Stephen Ewen 04:36, 8 April 2007 (CDT)
