Do you know if the thresholds allow additional code to be inserted, so that other criteria might be used before promoting? Alternatively, are the counts used for these other than the master variables, so, hypothetically, there could be a function for subtracting 10 from the article count when an article is ordered deleted? Should this article include possibilities for Citizendium?
If and when CZ has a karma system, of course, the technical aspects should be here.
Until then, I'm not sure if it's appropriate to speculate on applications. My understanding -- it was before I came to CZ -- the vandalism that prompted the much more rigorous user verifications were a series of move of articles to new, sometimes offensive, always confusing titles. A karma system could have limited moves to established users.
Could users "sleep" and later attack? No, because any reasonable system considers more than the length of registration. It would also consider volume and quality of contribution, unlikely for a miscreant to use to develop his "cover". Howard C. Berkowitz 18:10, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
