I'm under the impression that the U.S. did not accept war reparations from Germany after the war.  The U.S. did however demand that the allies repay their massive debts that they owed the U.S. and that they (in turn) demanded reparations from Germany.  So I re-wrote that sentence.  If someone could find a credible sources to establish the facts of this case (how the ''Los Angeles'' became U.S. property), that would be most appreciated.  Thanks.  --[[User:Russell D. War Reparations

I'm under the impression that the U.S. did not accept war reparations from Germany after the war. The U.S. did however demand that the allies repay their massive debts that they owed the U.S. and that they (in turn) demanded reparations from Germany. So I re-wrote that sentence.
