I was born in Miami, Florida and have lived in Florida for most of my life. I have a B.A. in English, an M.A. in Speech, and a Ph.D. in Linguistics, all from the University of Florida, and a B.S. in Computer Systems from Nova University (now Nova/Southeastern University). I have worked a number of different jobs, most notably as a computer specialist for twenty years, and I am a Vietnam War veteran. I was a Volunteer Sys-Op on the Novell Product Support Forums from 2000 to 2005. I am now semi-retired.
