I have thought about these isssues before [[CZ_Talk:Workgroups#colours]] but sometimes it slips my mind. Even knowing about the isse it is sometimes hard to know which are the most effective colors.  Thanks for the heads up.  I like the idea of making it more distinct by adding redirect ahead. Citizendium Getting Started
Quick Start | About us | Help system | Start a new article | For Wikipedians

Tasks: start a new article • add basic, wanted or requested articles • add definitionsadd metadata • edit new pages

Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun!

fluid visualization

I saw an article in the recent 2 weeks on cnet.com about a new math approacht top visualize flows, and the visuals they had were pretty good. Robert Tito | Talk 21:41, 16 February 2007 (CST)

Cities

Ich hätte mich nur gedacht, es wäre besser Städten zu nennen statt Ländern, deswegen. I like the idea of cities, but ordering them per country seems not right. Es war mehr gemeint als stimulierung einen AAnfang mit Städten zu machen als etwas anderes. So I do hope people will take up a group Cities to pinpoint users to interesting places on this globe. Tschüß, Cheers, Robert Tito | Talk 14:36, 19 February 2007 (CST)

Danke für die Erklärung. Thanks for the explanation. Ich finde die Idee eine Seite mit Hinweisen zu interessanten Städte zu machen klasse. I like the idea to create a page that provides people with links to interesting cities. Wäre es nicht sogar gut eine "Workgroup" zu diesem Thema zu bilden, da es ja ein ganz typisches Enzyklopädie-Thema ist. Oder war es das was du sowieso meintest. I think it would be a good idea to create a "Discipline Workgroup" specialized on cities because cities are one of the most common encyclopedic topics. Was this what you meant? -- Alexander Wiebel 15:01, 19 February 2007 (CST)

Genau, als Teil der Geographie workgroup, oder Turismus :) Robert Tito | Talk

order

To indicate an order, not the O is used but a curly O, ϑ though that is the theta. In a definition it seems inappropriate to state the order of what is meant. I guessed Order was meant but then it leaves me wondering: order of what in what. I hope you can understand this argument. Robert Tito | Talk 15:15, 21 February 2007 (CST)

Vatican stats

What is the source of your population data on the vatican. I have checked several sources and got different answers in each - hence why the space was left blank. However, I was expecting a figure in the region of 500's rather than 200's. Derek Harkness 07:54, 14 November 2007 (CST)

Hi Derek, my source is the german "Fischer Weltalmanach 2006". It is a kind of world fact book and as far as I know the best known of its kind in german. It says that 253 people live in Vatican, while 552 have the Vatican citizenship (61 cardinals, 346 "priests", 101 Swiss Guards and 44 laymen). --Alexander Wiebel 12:12, 14 November 2007 (CST)

Culture

Alexander - thank you for tidying up the stub for Culture. aladin Aladin 12:41, 14 November 2007 (CST)

CZ international

Hi! I’m just letting people who have expressed an interest in CZ International know that there is now a proposal on the table.

Please discuss its feasibility at: CZ:Proposals/Internationalisation sandbox in the Discussion area.

Feel free to help develop the proposal, as well.

We'll also need "drivers".

If you've got no idea what I'm talking about, please refer to: CZ:Proposals/New and CZ:Proposals

Aleta Curry 17:52, 14 February 2008 (CST)

Hi again, Alexander. Thank you very much for participating! Aleta Curry 17:01, 15 February 2008 (CST)
Hi Aleta. I'd love to participate in a German version, so I often scanned the internationalization related pages I could find. Now there is ONE place to go. That will accelerate the process. -- Alexander Wiebel 06:30, 16 February 2008 (CST)

scoring error

Sorry, I glanced too quickly and thought I saw two names in blue, but one blue field was a link. I changed the score back to one. David E. Volk 12:55, 21 February 2008 (CST)

aw crap

My apologies! I was totally oblivious! Thanks for showing me that. --Robert W King 13:39, 28 March 2008 (CDT)

Thanks

For solving that problem. Chris Day 09:35, 19 May 2008 (CDT)

deleting def's

I figured out that you do not need to tag the old redirect at Template Def since at Category:Move def once a definition has been mored to the definition subpage it will indicate that the Template:Def page can be deleted. This should save you quite a few extra clicks if you intend to do more. And thanks for helping. Chris Day 14:50, 22 May 2008 (CDT)

I suspect you mean the Delete Def Category. Unfortunately, like the other Definitions related categories it seem that the category is not updated at all. Alexander Wiebel 16:52, 22 May 2008 (CDT)
Actually, the Category:Move Def does show which templates need to be deleted. As you can see with most of the Olympic articles, they show red when they are finished moving. Only constables can delete them though, so I suspect they will go through every so often and remove them. John Dvorak 16:57, 22 May 2008 (CDT)
This is true for the handmade list in the upper part of the page. But it is not the case for the pages in the category (see lower part of page). Alexander Wiebel 17:01, 22 May 2008 (CDT)
I think that lower part is updating so slowly that Chris gave up and created the top section so we could see what's what. J. Noel Chiappa 17:17, 22 May 2008 (CDT)
