Paul, will you consider to provide the code that draws the figure and/or to correct it by yourself. It seems to me that the vertical line (that represents the axis of the conic surface) should be visible until the centers of the ellipses created by the intersections with the planes, I mean the case of red ellipse and the green ellipse; in the similar way as you did it for the uper and lower white circles.
