This article is part of a range of gay related articles I am in the process of creating at CZ.

I modified the intro paragraph to be more specific as to what the riots were. You might want to check it and made sure I phrased it well, but I think it is important to come right out and say what it is, instead of waiting until the history section. --Todd Coles 18:13, 25 July 2007 (CDT)

Image workspace

It will be essential for this article to have high quality images to make it really come alive. This will definitely entail non-free content, given the dates of the event. I'll take on the task of seeking permissions for quality images for this article.   • Nice image, agreed, but it is from much later, I'd say around the late 1980s or 1990s - as the "Queer as F*ck" t-shirt being worn in the pic would seem to date it around then. I would think for this particular article the image/s contextually would need to be the Stonewall Inn in Christopher Street, NYC - then and/or now - and/or the Stonewall riots themselves. Perhaps we can track down an image showing contemporaneous news media coverage of the riots? Eg - New York Times, or similar? --Ian Johnson 07:42, 28 July 2007 (CDT)

I get the impression that you may be a bit of an image access specialist - I know nothing about it. What I could do would be to suggest the top (say) three or four best 'wishlist' target images we might consider for Stonewall riots, and, then I wonder whether you might be interested in then chasing the permissions? It would also be a nice thing for me to observe as it will help me learn how that works. What do you think? --Ian Johnson 06:54, 29 July 2007 (CDT)
