North Catalonia or Northern Catalonia (in Catalan Catalunya Nord, la Catalunya del Nord), also called historically the Counties (els Comtats), is the northernmost region of the Catalan Countries (or Catalonia in a wide sense).

It belongs politically to France, where it nearly matches with the department of the Pyrénées-Orientales, excepting the area of the Fenouillèdes.

North Catalonia is not an administrative subdivision but a region defined by cultural and historical criteria.

Its main city is Perpignan.
