Rahmat Muhammad received her bachelor's degree (Boston University, 2003) in Biology with a specialization in Neuroscience and Philosophy.  She is currently pursuing her Phd at MIT in Neuroscience.  Currently, her research attempts to understand cortical plasticity using the visual system as a model system.  In the future, she would like to investigate vision in the mouse and use that system to understand how visual experience plays a role in shaping what we see and how we see it.
