Schizotypal personality disorder is a personality disorder primaily characterized by a need for social isolation, and an exhibition of odd behavior and thinking often accompanied by unconventional belief systems.

There is often a high rate of comorbidity with other personality disorders. This may be due to considerable criteria overlap with other personality disorders, such as avoidant personality disorder and paranoid personality disorder[1].
