:The thing about placing the special symbols on a separate page is they no longer work. Before, you could highlight your text or place the cursor into the edit window, click the symbol, and in it would go. I placed it because a few science editors wanted an easy way to place them into articles. ---[[User:Stephen Ewen|Stephen Ewen]] 14:10, 29 May 2007 (CDT)

::I do a number of articles with accented letters, such as Rene Lacoste -- how can I get the acute e onto Rene?  Also I do *lots* of footnotes -- I need the <refxxref> thingees handy. Etc.  I see in the Forum that someone else has also complained about the symbols no longer working.  I myself don't think that the symbols intrude on the page.  Please bring them back.  Thanks! I do a number of articles with accented letters, such as Rene Lacoste -- how can I get the acute e onto Rene? Also I do *lots* of footnotes -- I need the <refxxref> thingees handy. Etc. I see in the Forum that someone else has also complained about the symbols no longer working. I myself don't think that the symbols intrude on the page. Please bring them back. Thanks!
