This is a famous photograph that is reproduced in several books. It was taken on board ship at Liverpool as the players were setting out on their voyage. It is thought, but with no verification, that the author was Fred Lillywhite. This was, incidentally, a true England team at the time because these guys were the best in the business. This was just before the Graces exploded onto the scene.
