Alouette is a family of French light utility military and civilian helicopters, widely exported. Production of the Aloutette III ceased in 1985; it had been bought by 92 countries.[1] Military versions included anti-submarine warfare, troop transport and anti-tank warfare configurations.

Variants were built by several countries, including India's Chetak, due to begin being replaced in 2005.
